MTIR & MTDT 20th Anniversary Photoshoot

Twenty years of history, miles, and memories all come down to this moment! Join us for a historic club photoshoot as we celebrate our two-decade milestone.

    The Details

    • Location: Fort Lee Historic Park (overlooking the iconic George Washington Bridge)

    • Duration: 2 Hours ONLY (Sharp! We have a tight schedule, so please don't be late).

    The Dress Code & Lineup

We want a visual timeline of our incredible club, so what you wear matters:

    1. The MTDT Team Photo: MTDT riders will kick things off with their team shot.

    2. The 20-Year Anniversary Feature: A dedicated group photo for everyone rocking the brand-new 20-year anniversary kit. This is going in the history books!

    3. The Mega Group Photo: Don't have the new kit yet? (Shame on you! ) Don't worry—wear your classic MTIR kit. We will be taking a massive all-inclusive group photo featuring every kit era represented.

    ‍The After-Ride: Destination Nyack

Once the shutters stop clicking, the wheels start spinning. We will roll out for a club ride up to Nyack. Along the way, our media team will be capturing rolling shots on Historic Route 9W to showcase our club’s most popular, legendary route.

Clear your calendars, prep your bikes, and let’s make this 20th-anniversary memory last a lifetime. See you at Fort Lee Park!

David Whitehead’s Greenwich Challenge: Hilly, Scenic & Epic

Ready to test your legs and soak in some incredible coastal views? Join David Whitehead for an epic trek out to Greenwich, Connecticut. This is a challenging, hilly route designed for riders looking to push their limits, earn their elevation, and enjoy some beautiful scenery along the way.

Because of the distance and the demanding terrain, we are getting an early jump on the day. No sleeping in for this one!

    • Meet Up: 7:30 AM

    • Wheels Down: 8:00 AM (Sharp!)

    • Meeting Location: Grand Concourse, The Bronx

    • The Distance: Flexible! The exact mileage and final loop will depend on who shows up and what the group's appetite is for extra bonus miles. Come prepared for a long, solid day in the saddle.

    • The Terrain: Hilly and demanding. You will definitely need your climbing gears for this one, but the stunning views over Connecticut are worth every pedal stroke.

    • No Rider Left Behind (On the Climbs): While the hills will naturally split things up, this is a community effort. Everyone will regroup at the top of the major climbs, so you can tackle the ascents at your own pace without fear of getting dropped.

Pack plenty of nutrition, check your tire pressure, and bring your climbing legs. Let's conquer the hills to Greenwich!

FUN FACTThe Grand Concourse is a major 5.2-mile boulevard in the Bronx, running from East 138th Street to Mosholu Parkway. Inspired by the Champs-Élysées in Paris, it features the largest concentration of Art Deco architecture outside of Miami and is a highly recognizable geographic spine of the borough!

    Ride Alert: Spellbound Century

While this isn't an official MTIR club ride, it is absolutely a favorite event that a ton of us support and look forward to every summer!

If you like straightaways where you can open things up and lock into a rhythm, this one is practically built for us. It is a famously fast, flat ride through South Jersey with endless miles of smooth flats to catch a serious pace, mixed with just enough rolling terrain to keep it interesting.

    The Details

    • The Vibe: Fast, flat, and scenic. Great roads, great energy, and an awesome post-ride atmosphere.

    • Logistics: Travel and lodging accommodations are entirely up to each individual member to organize, so grab your riding crew and coordinate your plans early!

    • Distance Options: Routes range from a 25-mile sprint all the way up to a full 100-mile century loop, so there is a distance for everyone.

Ready to get under the spell? Head over to the official event website to check out registration, route maps, and full event details.

Let’s get a strong MTIR contingent out there on the asphalt! Don't forget to wear your kits!

    ⚓️ Malik’s Madness 2026: The 130-Mile Ferry Edition! ⚓️

Malik has cooked up another legendary route for the books! This year, we are changing things up. Instead of a brutal climbing monster, Malik has designed a massive, epic loop that trades endless slog climbs for sweeping distances, beautiful coastal roads, and a cruise across the water.

We are tackling 130 miles with about 5,500 feet of elevation—it's definitely not flat, but it's a beautifully balanced, rolling route rather than a relentless hill fest.

    The Logistics

    • Date: Sunday, July 26, 2026

    • Time: 7:00am. Per Malik, "Not 7:01am. Not 7:07am. Not 7:17am. 7:00am SHARP) Departure time will be enforced. Be on time!

    • Meetup Location: Central Park (59th St & 5th Ave entrance)

    • The Route: We roll north from Central Park up to Bridgeport, CT, catch the ferry across the Long Island Sound to Port Jefferson, and then ride all the way back home to Brooklyn.

    • Bonus Drop-Off Point: On the way home, the route rolls right through the Triangle. If you live in Queens or Long Island, you'll be able to easily break off from the group right there!

    The Ferry & Ride Pace

    • No Drop Policy: The ferry leaves on a strict schedule, which means we have a firm timeline to hit. We are not leaving anyone behind—the group will stick together to ensure everyone makes the boat safely and comfortably.

    • Ferry Tickets Required: You will need a ticket to cross from Bridgeport to Port Jeff. Avoid the lines at the dock and purchase your tickets ahead of time at www.pjferry.com.

    • Fueling Up: Don't stress about packing 130 miles worth of pocket food. Malik has strategically planned water and food stops all along the route to keep everyone well-hydrated and fueled.

    Serving Up A Seitu Special!

What’s the distance? Who knows. Where are we going? Wherever the wind takes us. How much climbing? We’ll find out when we hit the hills.

Welcome to the Seitu Special—a ride with no script, no rigid boundaries, and absolutely no guarantees except for a phenomenal day on the bike. The point of this ride is simple: Just show up and ride. The "Open Ride" Rules

This is a true "open ride," meaning the entire playbook—the route, the distance, the pace, and the destination—will be dictated entirely by how much fire power shows up on the line. Frankie’s Delight: The Port Jefferson Edition

It’s an annual tradition, but this year Frank is turning it up a notch! Get ready for a massive, scenic day in the saddle as the annual Frankie’s Delight Ride sets its sights on Port Jefferson.

This is going to be an incredible, milestone distance day, but it requires serious legs and steady endurance to get the job done right.

    The Logistics

    • The Distance: 95 miles round trip

    • Meet Up: 7:00 AM

    • Location: The Triangle (254 Street & Horace Harding Expressway or use Nassau Mall South)

⚠️ Pace, Fitness & Ride Rules

Frank wants this to be a true "no drop" ride, meaning the group stays together and we ensure everyone gets across the finish line safely. However, a 95-mile journey requires a steady, consistent pace to ensure we aren't out all day.

Because of this, we need everyone to be completely honest with themselves before lining up:

    • Know Your Fitness: You must be able to comfortably sustain a steady paceline speed over a long distance.

    • Check Your Base Mileage: If you haven’t put the long-distance miles into your legs yet this season, reconsider this particular ride and catch us on the next one!

    What to Bring

    • Fully dialed-in bike (check your shifting and brakes!).

    • At least 2 water bottles and your choice of on-the-bike nutrition.

    • Two spare tubes, a pump/CO2, and tools to fix your own flats.

    • Pocket money/cards for our rest and refueling stops along the way.

It’s going to be an epic day on the road to Port Jeff. If you've got the miles in your legs, stretch out, fuel up, and we'll see you at the Triangle at 7:00 AM sharp!
